In the third of our four author/narrator team recorded chats, Pamela Clare and Kaleo Griffith join us today as we continue our June is Audiobook Month event, Hear the Talk, sponsored by Tantor Audio. You’ll want to check out out the full schedule for our six Hear the Talk chats.
It was an honor to visit with Pamela and Kaleo recently as they discussed their teamwork on the I-Team series and work they currently have in progress. Romance audio enthusiasts have embraced this author/narrator team and Kaleo’s narration of Pamela’s Extreme Exposure won Best 2012 Romance Audiobook award here at AudioGals.
For those of you new to Pamela’s writing, she writes both romantic suspense (the I-Team series) and historical romance. Tantor has picked up her Mackinnon’s Rangers series for release this summer. AudioGals will be celebrating with Pamela on July 15th when the first in that series, Surrender, is released in audio. You won’t want to miss it so mark your calendars.
You may download any of our chats easily to your MP3 player. Or, you can listen (as I do) on your phone directly from AudioGals. We have also included sound samples from two of Pamela’s audios below, Hard Evidence and Extreme Exposure.
Our many thanks go out today to Pamela and Kaleo for sharing with us today!

Many thanks to you’ for having us!
Great interview with two fascinating and talented artists. One half hour wasn’t nearly enough to discuss the I-Team series…and SOON The MacKinnon’s Rangers! My personal thank you to Pamela and Kaleo for writing and performing Naked Edge. It is unexpected to read romantic suspense and learn about other cultures. Kaleo- you were perfect in your portrayal of Grandma Alice…sounds so much like my late mother-in-law it was a bit spooky! I’d be interested in hearing about your preparation for narrating NE.
Loved this session! I was one of the many clamoring for the I-Team series to be translated to audio. When I frist heard Kaleo was the narrator, I was anxious. He was fairly new to audiobooks in the genre I listen to so I was unsure how it would go. I heard a sample of his voice and thought there was potential to really do the series justice. THANK YOU Kaleo for contacting Pamela and digging into the material. Thank god Pamela, an avid audiobook listener herself, understood that (given Kaleo’s outreach) it was important to support his interpretation of her work. I found Kaleo’s discussion on differentiating the women in the I-Team very interesting. I have only recently starting reading and putting Pamela’s historicals on my TBR list (I’ve been off new historical romances for some time after glutting myself on them in college back in the late 80s/early 90s). I am eagerly looking forward to the new audiobooks coming out from this FABULOUS team!!
I think I’ll go run up and down my own stairs squeeing just a bit. ;)
