SEAL Camp by Suzanne Brockmann
Narrated by Patrick Lawlor and Melanie Ewbank
Romantic suspense fans will be thrilled this September as there will be a new addition to the author’s long-running Tall, Dark & Dangerous Series.- BJ
I’m a Tall, Dark and Dangerous fan from way, way, way back, and I’m really looking forward to visiting with the guys and gals from SEAL Team Ten again. – Melinda
The Glass Ocean by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig and Karen White
Narrated by Vanessa Johansson, Saskia Maarleveld, and Brittany Pressley
This sounds fascinating. Three top-notch authors relate the tale of a modern-day author in search of inspiration who finds it in the form of the story of a young woman travelling to London in 1915… on the Lusitania. I’m not familiar with two of the three narrators, but I know Saskia Maarleveld can always be relied upon to do a great job and I’m hoping her co-narrators are just as good. – Caz
I love dual timeline novels, and these three authors are known for writing great ones. The novel explores the last voyage of the Lusitania, and I was utterly captivated by the print version. It promises to be equally compelling in audio, and the cast of narrators is top-notch. – Shannon
Once Upon a Real Good Time by Lauren Blakely
Narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York
This trio Dream Team has turned out some of the most entertaining contemporary romances in the past few years, so I’m game. The trope is one-night-stand with two people that, yep, have to work together. – Melinda
Spectred Isle by K.J Charles
Narrated by Ruari Carter
This was one of my favourite books of 2017, and I’ve been eagerly awaiting its audio release. Set just after the First World War, the story concerns a disgraced archaeologist and a powerful archanist, the one remaining member of a once large family who have been tasked with ensuring England’s safety from supernatural attack for centuries. K.J Charles has penned a truly magical, mystical and downright spooky tale and I can’t wait to listen to it. Ruari Carter is a new-to-me narrator (although his voice sounds familiar so I don’t think he’s a complete newbie), but I’m hoping he’ll do a great job. – Caz
Henchmen of Zenda by K.J. Charles
Narrated by Antony Ferguson
Christmas in September! It might as well be, with two new releases from one of my favourite authors this month ;) Henchmen of Zenda is a fabulous, queer re-imagining of the classic Prisoner of Zenda told from the perspective of one of the minor characters in that story, and I loved every minute of it when I read it earlier this year. It’s a rollicking adventure yarn full of feats of derring-do, double-cross, wit so dry it belongs in the Sahara and chaps with swords in billowing shirts and tight breeches! Narrator Antony Ferguson is a very experienced performer and I’ve enjoyed listening to him in the past. Can’t wait for this one. – Caz
Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness
Narrated by Saskia Maarleveld
Lovers of paranormal romances are in for a treat this September as Deborah Harkness (author of the All Souls Trilogy) is releasing the debut of her next series, Time’s Convert. Moreover, Saskia Maarleveld is a great choice of narrator. – BJ
Love and Other Wild Things by Molly Harper
Narrated by Jonathan Davis and Amanda Ronconi
Harper and Ronconi are a particular Dream Team for me, and this is #2 in her Mystic Bayou series – should be fun! – Melinda
Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren
Narrated by Todd Haberkorn and Jayme Mattier
Being a fan of Christina Lauren’s brand of contemporary romance, I’m excited to see that they are releasing a new title in September. – BJ
A Notorious Vow by Joanna Shupe
Narrated by Carmen Rose
I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read or listened to by this author, and A Notorious Vow was now exception. Carmen Rose is a skilled narrator who brings this romance between a British woman tasked with keeping her parents out of debtor’s prison and a reclusive inventor to vivid life. This was fabulous in print, and I can’t wait to listen to it as an audiobook. – Shannon
I just listened to Love and Other Wild Things and loved it. I had to relisten to How to Date Your Dragon. I really enjoy this new series by Molly Harper and Jonathan Davis has become a new favorite!
