Well, I think we all agree with Kaetrin’s title this week – the whole global pandemic thing has generated Just One Thing After Another
but it’s given some of us a bit more time for audiobook listening, so there’s that!

I just this morning finished The End of October. Wow! Written last year, it came out this spring and chronicles a pandemic. It was skillfully written and well-worth reading/listening to as the narration was spot-on.
I’m listening to Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo. My daughter asked me to give it a listen. So far, it’s a good book. The narrator is good, too. There are mixed reviews on Audible about the narrator but I am enjoying it so far and I’m a very picky listener.
Narration is such a subjective thing, isn’t it? I’ve read many an Audible review extolling the capabilities of a narrator only to discover they’re terrible, or vice versa!
I just finished The Parfit Knight by Stella Riley, narrated by Alex Wynnham. Absolutely wonderful! Loved it. Earlier this week I listened to Trixie and Katya’s Guide to Womanhood (snicker) and I’m now listening to A Beastly Kind of Earl by Mia Vincy, narrated by the wonderful Kate Reading.
I’m so glad you enjoyed the Riley – she’s been a favourite author of mine since the 80s!!
