This week I listened to Dance With Me by Heidi Cullinan, narrated by Iggy Toma. This story didn’t work for me and felt very dated. Toma’s narration was all that kept me going to the end. I also listened to How to Date Your Dragon by Molly Harper, narrated by Amanda Ronconi. I was looking for something fluffy and this worked. I generally like this pairing for lighthearted PNR, and I enjoyed this. Bonus that it is free with Audible Plus.
Right now I’m finishing up wth a relisten of Now You See Her by Linda Howard, narrated by Laurel Lefkow. I listened to this years ago and felt in the mood to revisit some of my old RS audiobooks. The story is just fine, but the standout is Lefkow’s narration. When I listened to it almost 10 years ago I noted that she was good, and she really is. Her range of emotions, her tone of voice, and her timing are excellent.
Queued up is Salt Magic, Skin Magic by Lee Welch, narrated by Joel Leslie. Thanks for the recommendation, Caz!
I liked Dance With Me, although the follow-up – Enjoy the Dance – feels quite dated now and the romance was pushed into a backseat somewhat.
Enjoy the Lee Welch – it’s a terrific story and of course, Joel is awesome :) Oh – and her new one, Seducing the Sorcerer is listed as a future release at Tantor.com, with Joel narrating. (Unfortunately, it’s not out until May 2022).
