Excited to see Child of Mine on the list (and hoping it’s not an April Fool’s joke)! ;)
LOL – after we posted our actual listens, I kinda wished we had planned an April Fool’s post instead. We could have had some fun with fake covers and titles!! Maybe next year!
I’ve been doing some relistening this week: The Band Sinister by K.J. Charles, as well as Not Dead Yet and Give Up the Ghost by Jenn Burke. I’ll listen to Graveyard Shift and then move on to the Evan books now that the third one will be out in May.
I also listened to the audio of two books I’ve already read in print: After Felix by Lily Morton and The Engineer by C.S. Poe. I’m going to reread, or perhaps listen to, The Gangster in preparation for The Doctor coming out in a few weeks.
Right now I’m listening to Splinter by E Davies, narrated by Greg Boudreaux, book 1 in The Significant Brothers series. The entire series was on sale at a ridiculously low price in a recent sale, so I bought them on the strength of the narrator. So far it’s about what I expected, low angst with nice characters. If the books are mostly like this, they will be nice books to listen to between more demanding reads. Boudreaux is no hardship to listen to.
I’m a big fan of re-listens! I enjoy revisiting “old friends” and I always feel like I get something new out of it.
Rereading and relistening really are like visiting old friends. If I wait a year or more, then I always find I’ve forgotten just enough to make it delightful all over again.
And your idea for an April Fools addition next year would be fun!
