I listened to “To Hold a Hidden Pearl” this week by Fearne Pearl.
Gosh, it was good…
Can’t wait for the next books in the series to come out in audio!
I really enjoyed it, too (I reviewed it earlier this week).
The next book in the series was actually the first book I read by this author, and it didn’t work for me that well (I gave it a C+ at All About Romance), but I went back to her books with her recent Brushed With With Love/Dipped in Sunshine duology, which I liked very much.
I listened to Buried Bones by Melinda Leigh earlier this week, narrated by Jane Oppenheimer. The story was weak, but the narration was ok. This novella series is co-written with each author writing novella’s from their character’s point-of-view. Kendra Scott is the other author and I generally prefer her books.
I picked up An Heiress’s Guide to Deception and Desire by Manda Collins when it came up as the Daily Deal at Audible because it’s narrated by Mary Jane Wells, who I greatly enjoy. The story was enjoyable if nothing special, and the narration was excellent. I haven’t read the first book in the series but didn’t feel I was missing anything.
I’m listening to Clutch, book 5 in The Significant Brothers series by E. Davies. The draw here was 6 books for one credit with Greg Boudreaux narrating. Overall it’s been worth one credit and I space the books for when I need something mindless. This book, however, is pretty boring. Oh well.
Will and I are about to make another roadtrip to see his Dad so we’ll finally finish A Picture of Murder, book 4 of The Lady Hardcastle Mysteries by T.E. Kinsey, narrated by Elizabeth Knoweldon. This series has been a lot of fun and the narrations are marvelous. Great for car trips!
