Delay of Game by Ari Baran
Narrated by Cooper North
I read this when it came out in late 2023 and enjoyed it, although I described it as “not so much a story about two people falling in love as it is the story of two best friends finally working out they’ve been in love for ages.” But I liked the characters and I’d listen to Cooper North read the phone book, so It’s on my list for when I’m in the mood for an undemanding palette cleanser. – Caz
I haven’t read anything by this author, but it looks fun and I love Cooper North, so on my list it goes. – Carrie
Dealing Him In by Charlie Cochet
Narrated by Greg Boudreaux
This is the first in a new spin-off series from the Four Kings Security series and I’ve been looking forward to it for a while. The books are fun and sexy and often quite bonkers, but I’ve grown fond of the characters and of course, Greg Boudreaux’s narration is always a big draw. – Caz
If You Hate Me by Helena Hunting
Narrated by Connor Crais and CJ Bloom
I’ve enjoyed Helena Hunting’s hockey romances in the past, so I’m looking forward to her latest which releases this March (a hate-to-love, brother’s best friend hockey romance). – BJ
Promises of Forever by Nicky James
Narrated by Nick J. Russo
Nicky James takes a short break from romantic suspense to bring us this wonderfully angsty and deeply emotional slow-burn romance between two men in their forties who met in their teens and haven’t seen each other since, Life has challenged them both in different ways,
It looks a little angstier than my usual, but I trust the author and narrator. Nicky James and Nick J. Russo are a winning team, so I’m going to give this one a try. – Carrie
Kilt Trip by Alexandra Kiley
Narrated by Vanessa Johannson & Angus King
The blurb of Alexandra Kiley’s romance debut pulled me in – a love-to-hate romance featuring a world traveller, travel consultant and a rugged Scottish Highlander who has a struggling tour company. – BJ
Grumpy (with a Scottish accent even)/sunshine – sign me up. – Kaetrin
Criminal intentions S2 E1&E2 by Cole McCade
Narrated by Curt Bonnem
Woohoo! *fist pump!* I’ve had my fingers crossed for ages that we’d get the second season of this fabulous romantic suspense series in audio. This second season is a slightly different format to the first in that the action shifts to the West Coast and there’s a distinct, overarching plot detailing Mal and Seong-Jae’s search for their nemesis. Along the way, Seong-Jae is forced to face his demons – as well as his ex (and his family!) – and lovely, growly, gorgeous Mal is with him every step of the way. Curt Bonnem did a fantastic job with the narration in S1 – he absolutely nailed the characterisations of the two leads – so I’m really glad he’s back in the narrator’s chair for S2. I can’t wait to get stuck in! – Caz
Swift and Saddled by Lyla Sage
Narrated by Vanessa Edwin & Teddy Hamilton
Sexy smitten cowboy paired with an interior designer set in Wyoming – looks like fun and Teddy Hamilton is reliably good so why not? – Kaetrin
