Anna Fields was the pseudonym used by narrator Kate Fleming – a truly gifted professional voice artist lost too soon in a tragic accident in 2006. She was the voice of Susan Elizabeth Phillips’ early audiobooks, including the entire Chicago Star series, and had recorded over 200 books in all genres. This is a listing of the reviews and articles here at AudioGals featuring her voice. We’ve included several samples at the end of the list – if you aren’t familiar with her work, you are truly missing out!

You don’t hear much these days about some of the best romance audiobooks out there – books that aren’t offered as downloads or hard copies either at retail outlets. Below you’ll find samples of several of these wonderful audiobooks – enjoy!
When I first started reading DA and AAR (which led me to Lea and Goodreads), everyone raved about Anna Fields. I had “accidentally” discovered her just by listening to whatever my library had to offer. And I was as delighted as anyone (well, Lea may have been THE number one delighted listener) when One Summer was finally re-released. Anna Fields’ narrations are the gold standard for many of us.
Anna Fields is what all narrators should strive for. She was so nuanced and emoted so much feeling in all her works. She narrated both male and female characters with such distinction and fantastic tones. I listened to SEP’s entire Chicago Stars series because I could not imagine reading them when Anna Fields does such an amazing job. There is a part in Natural Born Charmer where SEP’s writing and Anna’s narration makes me bawl like a baby. I am currently listening to Kiss An Angel for the first time and once again Anna Fields is superb.
SEP/ Anna Fields best author/narrator duo EVER! Thanks for the reminder.
I can’t say she is my favorite narrator, but I will take her over any of the ones that I can’t stand, such as Sandra Burr.
This is the combo (Anna/SEP) that made me fall completely in love with romance audiobooks. I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for the way my eyes were opened by their work.
