  1. The only book I listened to in the past week was Demons Do It Better by Louisa Masters, narrated by Joel Leslie (which is why I took a chance on it when I saw it on sale at Chirpbooks.). It’s not perfect, but I really enjoyed it. I gave the story a B and Joel’s narration an A. I bought the second book, One Bite with a Vampire, on sale as well. They both may still be on sale. It reminds me of Alice Winters’ books but without the juvenile humor.

I’ll either listen to the Masters’ book or Proper Scoundrels, which I have checked out on Hoopla.

    1. I am consistently surprised (and jealous!) that you can get so much via the library. Last I looked, my local had ONE book by KJC – which was the third in a trilogy – and as for m/m in audio, forget it.

Alice Winters without the juvenile humour might be worth a listen. I fail to understand why her books are so popular…

      1. I listened to all of Winter’s Hitman series and though I cringed a lot, I still enjoyed the stories overall, and some of the humor wasn’t juvenile and was very funny. And Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration was great. But I’m hesitant to listen to anything else by her because, yeah, some of it was REALLY cringe worthy. . The Master’s book was funny, but not over the top. Like I said, not perfect, but it was a good diversion for this past week or two which have not been easy for our family.

Honestly, Caz, I’d be afraid to move anywhere because I’d miss the wonderful selection of audiobooks from my library. Our library website is so easy to use and they even have a “for later” shelf so I can add books I want to read in the future. Plus the Hoopla app works great.
