A Dozen Audios by Sylvia Day Coming Right Up

Sylvia Day made an impressive splash with Bared to You whether print, ebook, or audiobook and Brilliance obviously took notice as between October 23rd, 2012 and February 19th, 2013, we will see a dozen Sylvia Day books hit the audiobook shelves. She covers the gamut in genres with Historical, Paranormal, and Contemporary titles all under her belt. Each of the books on this list rate a solid 4 to 4 ½ stars at Amazon so I’m betting there are going to be some happy audiobook fans out there!

The third Crossfire Novel, Entwined with You, will be a simultaneous release in print, eBook, and audiobook on the last day of 2012 while the third book in her PNR trilogy, A Taste of Seduction, will release in both eBook and audio on February 5, 2013. The others which cover her backlist are steadily spaced to be delivered between now and the end of February. Justine Eyre and Fiona Underwood will be joining Jill Redfield as narrators of Ms. Day’s books with several titles still left as TBA in the narrator category at this time.

I’ve listed the upcoming releases by date but I’ve also included the original release dates (something I’m always curious about when I see a backlist appear) and, if the book is part of a series, I’ve added the number as to where said book falls within the series because I am a “read a series in order” fanatic. The release dates are subject to change at Audible’s or Amazon’s whim but these are the current dates as of now.

Reflected In You (A Crossfire Novel 2nd) narrated by Jill Redfield – Original Release Date 10/2/2012 – Audible Audio Release 10/8/12, MP3-CD 10/23/12

Ask For It (Georgian I) narrated by Justine Eyre – Original Release Date 9/2006 – Audio Release 11/27/12

Passion for the Game (Georgian II) narrated by Justine Eyre – Original Release 7/2007 – Audio Release 11/27/12

Seven Years to Sin (Historical) narrated by Fiona Underwood – Original Release Date 9/2011 – Audio Release 12/4/12

Entwined with You (A Crossfire Novel 3rd) narrator TBA – Releasing simultaneously in print, ebook and audio 12/31/12

A Passion for Him (Georgian III) narrated by Justine Eyre – Original Release 11/2007 – Audio Release 1/29/13

Don’t Tempt Me  (Georgian Book IV) narrated by Justine Eyre – Original Release Date 4/2008 – Audio Release Date 1/29/13

A Taste of Seduction (Renegade Angels Trilogy Book 3) narrator TBA – Releasing simultaneously in ebook and audio 2/5/13

A Touch of Crimson (Renegade Angels Trilogy Book 1) narrator Luke Daniels – Original Release 10/2011 – Audio Release 2/12/13

A Hunger So Wild (Renegade Angels Trilogy – Book 2) narrator Kate Rudd – Original Release 7/2012 – Audio 2/19/13

The Stranger I Married (Historical) narrator TBA – Original Release 1/2007 – Audio Release 3/5/13

Pride and Pleasure (Historical) narrator TBA – Original Release 2/2011 – Audio Release 4/16/13

Take note – I’ve already seen some narrator change ups so nothing is guaranteed until the actual release dates. Factoring that in, I’ll still be keeping a watch on narrators for the remaining titles and update as I find them. I’m looking forward to seeing the audiobook reviews pile in at Audible* and I’m hoping there are as many stars for the audio versions as there are for the written copy at Amazon.

*Reflected in You‘s Audible release has already garnered much attention and is hovering at a steady 4 1/2 stars – Congrats to Ms. Day and Ms. Redfield!

  1. Thanks for the Info, Gals.

A little worried about the TBA on Entwined in you though. It would seriously annoy me if they don’t go back to Jill Redfield because that’s what I’m used to. I don’t think changing the narrator in a series where you have a first person narrator is a good idea.

I listened to one of Jeaniene Frost’s short stories on Audio (from my library, I think on the book with the Sookie Stackhouse story in it) and I don’t think it was Tavia Gilbert. It was jarring and I had real difficulty adjusting. When it’s a first person narrator story the internal voice of the character is so strong that when the story goes to audio the readers own voice is a such a powerful componant. If that makes sense.

And I think whoever does the audio narrator choice for Entwined in you should look at the unhappiness from listeners when they changed the narrator on the Jim Butcher series.

I’d rather wait an extra few weeks than have them switch narrators at this point.

    1. I couldn’t agree more ancientpeas – there are few things I dislike more than a narrator change up in a series with continuing characters.

I listened to that same book with the short Frost and Harris stories (Death’s Excellent Vacation) and neither of those two Authors/Characters had their “regular” narrator and it was disconcerting to say the least.

I’m going to trust the Brilliance knows they’ve got a good thing going with Sylvia Day’s Crossfire novels – thus they will keep Jill Redfiled!
