Caz

Caz's icon - a pair of glasses on old faded textCaz has been a fan of audiobooks and audio drama for more years than she cares to remember. Born and bred in the UK, she grew up listening to BBC Radio 4, world-renowned for its output of high quality comedy and drama. Favourite dramatisations have included the spectacular Lord of the Rings in the 80s, Anthony Trollope’s Barchester Chronicles, and Villette by Charlotte Bronte, among many others.

She loves historical novels in their many shapes and forms, but her first love is historical romance. She’s reviewed in the region of 800 books and audiobooks over the past three or four years, and has no plans to slow down; in spite of the number of books she reads and listens to every year, the TBR pile never seems to get any smaller! She has run Romantic Historical Reviews, which is dedicated to reviews of historical romance and fiction for a number of years, and at the beginning of 2016, became Editor in Chief at All About Romance. Caz is active on Goodreads  and has her own blog, Caz’s Reading Room which she’s always intended to “do something with”, but which she now accepts is going to have to wait until some other time when she’s not quite so busy!

In real life, she’s a teacher and copy-editor, and is the mother of two beautiful daughters, one a budding historian, the other a talented singer and actress. Favourite audiobooks include Courtney Milan’s Brothers Sinister series, Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase, Stella Riley’s A Splendid Defiance, A Seditious Affair by K.J. Charles, His at Night by Sherry Thomas and Laura Kinsale’s  Flowers from the Storm and Seize the Fire. She has what she calls a Fab Four of go-to narrators – Nicholas Boulton, Rosalyn Landor, Kate Reading and Alex Wyndham – and is also a big fan of Mary Jane Wells, Greg Tremblay, Derek Perkins, Carolyn Morris and Gary Furlong.
